Graduation

Summer means the end of the school year and, for some, graduation. Graduation parties fill the summers of seniors getting ready to go off to college. For your own graduation party, what are you going to do to stand out from your friends? We’ve got some ideas to get you started.

For the guest book, we love the puzzle idea! For an extra special touch, get it printed with one of the graduate’s senior photos and have the guests sign the other side. The card box is an easy and quick idea. To decorate, paint the boxes in the school colors or colors from the college the graduate plans to attend. Get stickers from the scrap booking section of a craft store. Sports are featured on this one but you can do graduation themed stickers or something else the graduate loves.

To decorate, sometimes all you need are balloons and streamers. One of the major decorating decisions come from which color scheme to go with. You can go with high school colors or the colors from the chosen college. You could even do the graduates favorite colors. The garland is a cool way to display all those pictures you have stacking up. Make sure to label them with when they are from so guests can look without guessing. Get a cool photo booth for guests to take pictures in front of. Decorate it with the graduate’s name, year they graduated, congratulations, and maybe an inspirational quote. For the tables, simple flowers in a vase with a tag or pick will do it. The graduation year or a picture of the graduate will always look nice.

Food is one of the most important parts of a graduation party. Make sure to have plenty of options for your guests. Dessert is always a hit. The cake is easy to pick decorations for. The graduate’s name, year they are graduating, congrats, diplomas, or the hat are all good choices. Tie ribbons around Pirouette cookies to make them look like diplomas. Arrange cupcakes in the shape of the year for extra kick. Use the ring pops as favors. The cute sign in front makes it silly and memorable.
