New Intern – Terrah Walker

We want to take the time to officially welcome another Pauleenanne Design intern, Terrah Walker! She will be spending time with us working as a graphic design intern. We had Terrah answer some questions for us to help get to know her a little better.

{1} What school are you attending? Studying New Media Design at Rochester Institute of Technology.

{2} What have you done before interning for Pauleenanne Design? Graphic Design Intern at Robin Muto Interiors/Axom Objects.

{3} What do you hope to gain from this internship? I hope to gain stronger professional skills as well as making new connections through networking and forming new friendships.

{4} What is your favorite quote? “A life lived for art is never a life wasted.” -Machlemore

{5} If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? If I could learn to do anything it would be to speak French.

{6} Where can we find you when you’re not working? When I’m not working, you can find me at home crafting, spending time with friends out on the town, at the theater, or attending the latest art opening.

{7} What would be your dream design project to work on? My dream project would be to design an app for a top leading developer such as Google, Yahoo, Samsung, or an android company.

{8} Are you inspired by anyone in the design industry? I don’t have a particular person that inspires me. Since there are so many design styles in the world, it’s hard to narrow it down to one person.

{9} Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. One interesting fact about me: I have four college degrees.

Welcome to the Pauleenanne Design family Terrah!

New Intern – Beth Cramer

It’s a new year and with that comes new interns! We are pleased to welcome our new event intern, Beth Cramer! To get to know Beth a little better, we asked her to answer a few questions about herself:

{1} What school did you attend? I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from The College at Brockport, SUNY in August of 2014.

{2} What have you done before interning for Pauleenanne Design? My last semester of college I interned with the American Cancer Society, helping them to plan Rochester area Relay For Life events. The summer before I graduated, I finished my Senior Honors Thesis, which consisted of a 50 page excerpt of a novel that I am writing. And since then I have been planning my own wedding to my high school sweetheart.

{3} What do you hope to gain from this internship? I would love to learn more about what goes into the planning aspects of weddings and other events.

{4} What is your favorite quote? “Have courage and be kind.”

{5} If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I would like to learn how to be less shy. It gets in the way of a lot of what I want to do, like go out there and get a full time job in the event planning field.

{6} Where can we find you when you’re not working? At Wegmans working my part-time job or at the movie theater with my fiance.

{7} What would be your dream event to plan? I love Walt Disney World. It would be a dream to plan a wedding there.

{8} Are you inspired by anyone in the events industry? I admire everyone who plans an event like a wedding because there is so much to think about that I never could have imagined before I got this internship. It is so stressful but it always turns out beautiful.

{9} Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. From 5th grade to 12th, I was in colorguard, the sport that marches with bands in parades and they have flags, rifles, and sabres. I was on the flag line. My favorite season was winterguard. It took place from October/November to April. Every April, we went to the Winter Guard International World Championship Competition, usually in Dayton, Ohio. My senior year of high school, I even had a solo during the show.

Luxe Winter Wedding Styled Shoot

Yes, yes, yes!  We are so excited to share this fabulous luxe winter wedding styled shoot we put together in November. Inspired by bronze, a beautiful metallic to incorporate into your day, we worked to create the ultimate luxe winter wedding.  Pairing this bold metallic with lilac and accents of berry and plum, we created a well rounded and unique winter palette.

Fabulous sparkling white lace gave a winter snow feel with the lilac linens peeping through.  Lush florals and candlelight added to the overall romance.  A touch of holiday appears with ornament favors and an ornament guest book.  And what would a winter wedding be without warm hot coco?  We loved mixing it up with these flavored hot coco sticks!

The look is finished off with fabulous attire.  How could you not swoon over the bride and bridesmaids dresses?  And we had so much fun mixing and matching with the menswear!

Special thanks to all the amazing vendors who participated to make this shoot happen!  The spectacular wedding venue Oak Hill Country Club. Stunning wedding dresses from Lovely Bride. Fabulous menswear from Hickey Freeman. Beautiful bridesmaid dresses from Alfred Angelo. Incredible florals from Rockcastle Florist. Flawless makeup and hair by Cheri’ Marie. To die for rentals by Hank Parker’s Party & Tent Rental. And amazing photos by John Schlia Photography.
