New Intern – Amanda Riekstins

We want to take the time to officially welcome another Pauleenanne Design intern, Amanda Riekstins! She will be spending time with us working as a graphic design intern. She has already jumped right in and has created some great designs for us. We can’t wait to see how her designs will grow and improve even more throughout her internship with us. We had Amanda answer some questions for us to help get to know her a little better.

{1} What school are you attending? I am attending Nazareth College as a Visual Communication Design Major with a minor in Business Management.

{2} What have you done before interning for Pauleenanne Design? Aside from Pauleenanne Design, I have a job on campus at Nazareth for the Information Technology Department.

{3} What do you hope to gain from this internship? This is my first internship and I am hoping to gain professional experience and learn what it is like to design in the real world outside of school.

{4} What would be your dream graphic design project? My dream graphic design project would be to design a pattern for Vera Bradley or to design a logo for a well-known company.

{5} Are you inspired by anyone in the design industry? I am inspired by the letter designer, Jessica Hische, because her designs are very fun and elegant.

{6} What is your favorite quote? My favorite quote in “when nothing goes right, go left.”

{7} If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I would love to learn stand up paddle boarding.

{8} Where can we find you when you’re not working? When I have free time, I enjoy doing craft projects; I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest.

{9} Tell us an interesting fact about yourself. I taught myself how to knit and I am currently working on a cable knit scarf.

Welcome to the Pauleenanne Design family Amanda!
